How to use

• Shake well before use.
• Apply to cleansed, completely dry skin on the face and neck. Avoid the eye area.
• For first-time use or more sensitive skin, initially use two to three times a week in the evening and increase the frequency slowly only if well tolerated.
• A slight, short-term tingling sensation may occur with the 10% lactic acid formula. However, intense or prolonged burning is not a desired effect - wash off the product and pause use.
• If needed, follow with a soothing moisturizer such as the Super Fruit Hydrator.
• Whenever possible, do not combine it in the same routine with other strong acid peels or other intensely exfoliating products.

What is special about the combination of lactic acid and salicylic acid?
Lactic acid, as an AHA, works mainly on the skin's surface, where it loosens dead skin cells. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble and can therefore also reach sebum-rich pores. The two acids complement each other very well for rough skin texture and clogged pores.

Is 10% lactic acid a lot?
10% is a clearly effective concentration for a leave-on AHA product. Serum of Clear should therefore be understood as targeted active skincare rather than a gentle moisturizing serum. Anyone who has not used acids before should start slowly with a few applications per week.

Why does Serum of Clear tingle on the skin?
Due to the high concentration of lactic acid and the additional salicylic acid, slight tingling may occur immediately after application. However, it should be mild and temporary. Intense burning or prolonged irritation is a sign that use should be discontinued.

Can Serum of Clear also be used on dry skin?
That depends on the condition of the skin. In addition to its exfoliating action, lactic acid also has moisture-binding properties, but the overall formula with 10% AHA and additional BHA is quite active. On dry skin, the serum should therefore be used less frequently and followed with sufficient moisture and lipids.

Can the serum also help with visible marks left after blemishes?
Regular exfoliation can help the complexion look more even and make superficial discoloration gradually appear less noticeable. Licorice root extract additionally complements the formula to support a more balanced-looking skin tone.

Can I use Serum of Clear every day?
For very acid-experienced and resilient skin, more frequent use may be possible. However, we would initially recommend starting with two to three evenings per week and increasing the frequency only slowly according to your skin's tolerance.

Do I need to use sunscreen when using it?
Yes. Exfoliating acids make consistent UV protection especially important. A sufficiently high broad-spectrum sunscreen should therefore be used every day during the daytime.
